About Carson

Carson Hill is a registered Jin Shin Do® Acupressurist, a Certified EFT Practitioner (AAMET  Level 2), a Matrix Reimprinting Practitioner, and an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist (a member of the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association). He trained in EFT  with EFT Master, Tania Prince, in England.  He trained in Matrix Reimprinting with Claudia Schecter in Montreal, Canada. His acupressure training included studying with the creator of Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure®, Iona Marsaa Teeguarden in Southern California, and with a number of senior Jin Shin Do® teachers in British Columbia.

Otherwise, he is one part traveler, one part artist, one part Buddhist, one part Daoist, one part environmentalist, one part salvager, one part writer, one part meditator, one part therapist, many parts a mystery… And in all parts a seeker of truth and purpose and simplicity.  His current focus is around his practice as a therapist, working to help others become all that they can be in body, mind and spirit.

He has been interested in and exploring Traditional Chinese healing practices and other natural healing modalities and practices since the mid-’90s, and has been equally fascinated with Buddhism since the early ’90s. He has been practicing Buddhist meditation since 2004. He practices Qigong daily.

To his work as an acupressurist, he brings his creative, sensitive nature as an artist, a love of working with his hands, a wealth of insight from his many travels and experiences, and an intuitive grounding from his explorations in meditation.

Before working in the healing arts, he worked as an independent artist for 5 or 6 years, making jewelery and art from recycled and salvaged materials.

And for several years before that, he traveled and worked in many countries in East Asia, teaching English as a second language.

And before that, he worked in forestry management in British Columbia for a few years.

And before that…

I had my first JSD treatment with Carson at the Island Folk Fest, Duncan, BC. I am now studying to become a JSD practitioner. The experience I had was life altering! Thank you Carson. Oh yah, and you fixed my ankle pain too.

I haven’t even experienced a JSD or EFT session yet, but am sold by the healing powers of Carson. I felt peaceful and joyful upon first meeting him in the middle of a busy art sale, And one look at his wood working skills, tells me he has sensitive hands! Can’t wait to try it all out!

I’ve been a regular JSD client for about a year and have been attending the Acupuncture Nada Circles weekly since before Christmas 2011. Carson knows what he’s doing, does it very well and manages to be an inspiring teacher all at the same time. He gives you “homework” that translates into very practical and effective self-care.

Just my story, I have had a driving phobia all my life. I somehow managed to get a drivers license 25 years ago but have only actually driven a very few times, white knuckling all the way.
I was fed up with it and had recently been introduced to eft Tapping and set out to find a practitioner in the city, to see if it would work for driving. Enter Carson with his gentle and calming approach and his Eft tapping, Matrix Re-imprinting and Jin Shin Do Acupressure. One 90 minute session and I was able to drive almost stress free for the first time ever. Amazing! I am so happy with my results and would highly recommend Carson For his knowledge and wonderful demeanor.
